Peso Pluma’s album, Génesis, not only snagged him a Grammy but also stirred some controversy due to its lyrics, even leading to threats from a cartel. Now with his new double album, Éxodo, he’s addressing the backlash head-on. He told Rolling Stone that this project clarifies “why we do what we do, and why we sing what we sing.” The first part of the album dives deeper into his signature regional Mexican music and corridos tumbados. Meanwhile, the second part ventures into Latin trap and reggaeton with collaborations from Cardi B, Anitta, Quavo, and others.
