Avalon Emerson Releases New Video for The Charm Song

Avalon Emerson just dropped a brand new track and it has everyone talking.

This fresh single, called “Eden”, is her latest since the dream-pop album she did last year with the same cool name, but now she’s rolling with Avalon Emerson & the Charm. Alongside the music, there’s a video directed by Ben Turok, and you can check it out already. The song got its start after she finished up the tour and went to London, where she worked with Bullion right in the studio, which she says wasn’t just a side adventure away from DJing, but was actually “the entrance to a deep cave, full of passages to wander.” In Emerson’s words: “‘Eden’ is the voyage along the endless river carved between mountains of joy and loss, of experience and exhaustion. We glide over a teeming riverbed of relationships and love, revealing the path itself is the point.”

Things took a turn this year for Emerson as she linked up with Dead Oceans and kicked off something new called Perpetual Emotion Machine, a singles series. As part of that, she released “E After Next,” which is a twist on Moby’s “Next Is the E”, a track her fans already loved from her DJ sets. By the way, she’ll soon be playing a bunch of Avalon Emerson & the Charm gigs around Europe and the UK, starting at the end of March—time to get those tickets if you care about live music!

Fans feel like Avalon’s new songs are like opening a storybook that keeps changing chapters without warning.

For a quick flashback (if you’re curious), there’s that interview where she chatters about leaving heavy club beats for much lighter dream-pop vibes.
