Avery Tucker just dropped a brand new solo track called “Big Drops,” and it’s the first time he’s released music on his own.
The song was made together with Alaska Reid, who also helped write and produce it, and the music video, which you can watch below, was directed by Lilliya Scarlett Reid. Tucker explained, “a story about loving and losing someone who is finding themselves time and time again overtaken by the big drop,” which sounds like it could mean so many things at once.
After Girlpool ended in 2022, not long after they put out their last album Forgiveness, Harmony Tividad went ahead and released her own album called Gossip last year.
Fans sometimes wish bands would never break up, but it’s cool to see what they do next.
Honestly, the title “Big Drops” makes me think of roller coasters or those huge water slides at theme parks.
