The Bug is gearing up to drop a new album titled Machine on October 4.
Kevin Richard Martin, known as The Bug, is releasing his first solo instrumental album without any guest vocalists. After teaming up with KMRU for the album Disconnect in June, he’s now ready to share this new LP. It features singles like “Buried (Your Life is Short)” and “Bodied (Send For the Hearse),” which you can check out below.
Machine pulls together standout tracks from several EPs The Bug put out in 2023 and 2024. He’s been playing around with what he calls “floor weapons,” aiming for a sound that feels both icy and dystopian. His goal? To celebrate intense atmospheric pressure and the thrill of full-body experiences through massive sound systems in tiny club spaces.
