Burial and Kode9 just dropped a new split single called “Phoneglow” / “Eyes Go Blank.”
The songs are available on Kode9’s Hyperdub label, and you can listen to them now; a 12″ vinyl version is also coming soon, as mentioned on their Bandcamp page.
A few months ago, Burial and Kode9 worked together on the EP Infirmary / Unknown Summer, following their collaboration for the Fabriclive 100 mix. Earlier this year, Burial released Dreamfear / Boy Sent From Above, which was not under Hyperdub but with XL. On the other hand, Kode9’s latest album, Escapology, came out in 2022, and he has some European festival gigs lined up this summer.
I think music collaborations are really exciting.
