Cardi B Announces New Album Am I the Drama

Cardi B just revealed her new album, Am I the Drama?, which is coming out on September 19 and will have 23 songs, including “Outside,” “Up,” and “WAP.”

After dropping “Outside” last week—a track made with Charlie Heat, HeyMicki, and DJ SwanQo—she hinted at a big reveal, saying, “Seven years, and the time has come. Seven years of love, life, and loss. Seven years, I gave them grace, but, now, I give them hell. I learned power is not given; it’s taken. I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back; I’m beyond. I’m not your villain; I’m your karma. The time is here. The time is now.” The album cover is already out for everyone to see.

Before “Outside,” she put out “Enough (Miami),” which followed her 2021 single “Up.” In between, she’s been all over the place with collabs—like “Bongos” with Megan Thee Stallion, “Put It on da Floor Again” with Latto, and tracks with Kanye West, Glorilla, Kay Flock, and Rosalía. She also worked with Lizzo, Normani, Migos, and Summer Walker back in 2021.

Fans think it’s wild how she keeps surprising us with new songs and features.

The biggest song since Invasion of Privacy was “WAP,” which she did with Megan Thee Stallion, but it didn’t get submitted for a Grammy since her team was planning to push for the new album instead (that never happened then). When some fake songs leaked in 2022, Cardi B posted a short video of a mystery song and said, “HERE some scraps since yall STARVING .”

Besides music, Cardi B has been busy—she supported Bernie Sanders, chatted with Joe Biden, and tried acting in Assisted Living (though she left and the movie stopped filming). She even had a show called Cardi Tries on Facebook Watch, where she tried out random stuff like ballet, gaming, ranching, and stunt diving.

Sometimes, we just want Cardi B to try skateboarding or maybe even knitting.
