Chat Pile are hitting the road this fall, and they’re not going alone.
From California’s The Fillmore to the loud rooms of Boston’s Paradise Rock Club, the group is making stops in big cities like Los Angeles, Brooklyn, and Washington, DC, and they’ll be joined by Fleshwater at every gig. You’ll find them in places like Mesa, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Houston, Tampa, and Baltimore, and the energy is bound to be wild—twice in LA and Boston, just for good measure. Sometimes, I wonder how bands keep up with all these places and dates.
Meanwhile, Hayden Pedigo has a totally different map, jumping from London and Manchester to festivals in Germany, Belgium, and France, then weaving through Italy and Spain, before crossing the Atlantic for a huge US and Canada run. One day it’s Leeds, the next it’s Barcelona, and soon after, you’ll spot him in Albuquerque, Boise, San Francisco, and Ojai. Some venues have names that sound like secret codes: Clwb Ifor Bach, The Lubber Fiend, Acid Tank, and Pidgin Palace Arts—makes you want to visit just to see what it’s like inside.
Fans are probably marking their calendars and hoping their city is on the list.
There’s even a show in Toronto at The Great Hall, and Montreal’s L’Escogriffe pops up too, before Hayden ends up in Atlanta, Nashville, and Memphis. The tour list reads like a wild travel journal, and maybe someone should make a game out of trying to pronounce every venue name correctly (good luck with Leffingeleuren).
“# with Fleshwater” is the only note you’ll need to remember for the Chat Pile shows, and if you’re planning to catch Hayden, you might want to double-check the dates—there are so many, you could blink and miss one.
