On November 19, Cher’s first memoir will be released. Cher: The Memoir, Part One, published by Dey Street Books, showcases a vintage black-and-white cover photo of Cher with her iconic bangs and cat-eye makeup.
This initial volume dives into Cher’s early years—highlighting her tumultuous childhood, struggles with dyslexia, and the rise to stardom alongside Sonny Bono during the ’60s and ’70s.
In 2021, it was announced that a biopic about Cher is in progress. Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman are directing it; they also worked on the hit movie Mamma Mia!. Although Cher is producing the film too, she recently rejected a script written by Eric Roth despite his Academy Award win.
