A new album from August 08 has just been released by Def Jam Recordings.
This album, called Pretend It’s Okay, includes 10 tracks and features artists like Channel Tres, Kiah Victoria, and Mark Lux. You can listen to the whole album or watch the music video for “Egotrip” below.
August 08 passed away last year when he was only 31 years old. This is his first album released after his death, following his previous work, Seasick, which came out in 2022.
After August 08 died, Def Jam Recordings expressed their sorrow with these words: “The entire Def Jam family mourns the tragic loss of Ray ‘August 08’ Jacobs. A brilliant songwriter, an accomplished musician and a singular artist, August will remain in our memory as a beloved colleague and friend. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family and loved ones.”
Fans really miss him a lot.
