After almost five years, Deftones are finally dropping a brand new album called Private Music, and it’s coming out on August 22 through Reprise.
This will be the band’s tenth record, following up their 2020 release, Ohms. They made Private Music in both California and Nashville, working again with Nick Raskulinecz, who had already teamed up with them for Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan. The first single, “My Mind Is a Mountain,” just landed, and fans can check it out right now.
Deftones are getting ready to hit the road again in August for more North American shows in 2025, bringing along Phantogram, Idles, and the Barbarians of California as openers. They’re also planning two big concerts in Toronto with System of a Down, which should be wild.
People sometimes wonder what it would be like to see all these bands together on stage.
There’s a bunch of other stops too, like music festivals in Atlanta, Louisville, and Sacramento, plus a whole European tour with Denzel Curry and Drug Church joining in. The list of cities is long, so fans in places like Paris, Berlin, London, and Dublin should get ready for some loud nights.
