Depeche Mode Unveil Physical Release of New Live Album & Film

Depeche Mode has shared that a brand new project called M is coming out on December 5.

This time, they’re dropping a live album and a movie together, both from their wild 2023 nights at Foro Sol in Mexico City, and the director, Fernando Frias, got creative by mixing concert scenes with stories about how people in Mexico see death. The movie and album will be available in different ways—either as a CD/DVD or CD/Blu-ray bundle, or you can just grab the music on its own as a double CD or a four-record vinyl set. If you’re curious about what songs made the cut, the tracklist is packed with live versions of their hits, plus four bonus tracks that come straight out of the Memento Mori recording sessions.

Fans sometimes wonder if live albums really capture the magic of being there in person.

Here’s what you’ll get if you listen: “Intro (Live in Mexico City),” “My Cosmos Is Mine,” “Wagging Tongue,” “Walking in My Shoes,” and more, all recorded at those Mexico City shows. The setlist keeps rolling with “Just Can’t Get Enough,” “Personal Jesus,” and “Enjoy the Silence,” along with rare tracks like “Survive” and “Life 2.0” from the studio sessions. It’s a long list, so you might want to clear your schedule before pressing play.

Sometimes, reading a tracklist this long feels like scrolling through a never-ending playlist, but hey, surprises are fun—even if your eyes get tired halfway through.
