Dry Cleaning just tossed a few more U.S. gigs onto their fall calendar, popping up in Brooklyn, Cleveland, and Milwaukee.
They’re not skipping their support spots either, since Detroit and Chicago are still on the map for those Godspeed You! Black Emperor shows, but now fans in those extra cities get headline sets with Infinity Knives and Brian Ennals jumping in as openers. Last year, they dug up Sweet Princess and Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks for a re-release, though a fresh album hasn’t surfaced since Stumpwork back in 2022. Before autumn hits, they’ll be bouncing around Europe and the UK, hitting up a bunch of festivals—so it’s a busy stretch ahead.
Sometimes people just want new music, but reruns of old EPs are still pretty cool.
Their schedule is a bit wild, from Brighten the Corners Festival in Ipswich to the Dour Festival in Belgium, then over to Norway for a couple of nights, back to London for All Points East and a DJ set, and then off to Hamburg for Reeperbhan Festival. After all that, they cross the ocean for their U.S. run, starting at Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, then Detroit’s Russell Industrial Centre, Chicago’s Beyond the Gate, Milwaukee’s Cactus Club, and finally Brooklyn’s Warsaw.
Honestly, figuring out all those dates would make anyone dizzy.
Infinity Knives & Brian Ennals are on the bill for the headline shows, while Godspeed You! Black Emperor gets support in Detroit and Chicago.
If you’re curious, their album New Long Leg made it to No. 50 in “The 100 Best Albums of the 2020s So Far.”
