Everything But the Girl Reveal New Best-Of Album

Everything But the Girl are putting out a new album called The Best of Everything But the Girl, and it’s coming out on November 14.

This collection, released through Buzzin’ Fly and Chrysalis, gathers 16 tracks that stretch all the way from Night and Day up to Fuse, showing off their music from different times in their long career. There’s even a trailer you can watch, plus the full list of songs is down below.

Tracey Thorn talked about how they picked the songs, saying, “We always liked albums that had a fast side and a slow side, so we thought we’d start with the bangers and wind down with the ballads.”

Ben Watt explained, “It also makes the album run backwards in time. It gives you a sense of clubland back to bedsit, a journey that to us feels very real. And at the end, we pair the modern-day (Run a Red Light) with how we started (Night and Day).”

Fans sometimes wish more bands would do things this way, just mixing up the order for fun.

Oh, and if you want, you can look up Ruth Saxelby’s review of Walking Wounded to see what people have said before.
