FKA twigs and Shia LaBeouf have decided to end their legal battle and not take it to court.
Instead of continuing with the lawsuit, FKA twigs and her lawyers officially asked for the case to be dismissed for good, which means she can’t bring it back later. Both sides shared a statement through their lawyers, Bryan J. Freedman and Shawn Holley, saying, “Committed to forging a constructive path forward, we have agreed to settle our case out of court. While the details of the settlement will remain private, we wish each other personal happiness, professional success, and peace in the future.”
Back in December 2020, FKA twigs said she was suing Shia LaBeouf for $10 million, accusing him of “relentless abuse,” sexual battery, assault, and causing her emotional pain. She spoke with The New York Times and explained, “What I went through with Shia was the worst thing I’ve ever been through in the whole of my life,” and added, “I don’t think people would ever think that it would happen to me. But I think that’s the thing. It can happen to anybody.”
People sometimes forget that celebrities can have really tough times too.
Shia LaBeouf has always said that he did not do the things she accused him of.
