Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist Announce Alfredo 2 with New Song & Short Film

Alfredo 2 by Freddie Gibbs and the Alchemist is dropping July 25, bringing fresh tracks and some big names.

This time, Anderson .Paak, JID, and Larry June are joining in, and the first song you’ll hear is “1995.” If you want a taste, “1995” is already out there for everyone to check out. The album isn’t just about music, though—there’s a short movie, too. It was filmed in Japan and directed by Nick Walker. In the film, the Alchemist tries to get Gibbs out of hiding in the mountains and back to Tokyo, where he faces some tough choices. The video is pretty wild, and you can watch it below if you’re curious.

Years ago, they worked together on Fetti, and their album Alfredo even got a Grammy nod for Best Rap Album in 2021. That was a big deal. Sometimes, fans get excited when old teams come back for a sequel like this.

By the way, Alfredo landed at number 44 on a list of the top 50 albums in 2020, so expectations are pretty high for this new one.
