Pras was given 14 years in jail for being involved in illegal financial schemes and for lobbying for another country.
Billboard says that Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly decided Pras’s punishment in Washington, D.C. on November 20, with Pras also having to spend three years under supervision right after, and give up almost $65 million to the government as punishment too.
Back in 2019, investigators first said Pras broke campaign finance laws, but it took until 2023 for the court to actually look at his case. Pras was in hot water for sending money from Jho Low, who is on the run, into former President Obama’s campaign. He was later blamed for trying to get Trump and his team to pause the Department of Justice’s dig into Jho Low’s actions. In the weirdest twist, Leonardo DiCaprio showed up at the trial and spoke because Jho Low helped pay for The Wolf of Wall Street movie.

Just a year ago, Pras even pointed fingers at Ms. Lauryn Hill, saying it was her fault the Fugees tour fell through. His new legal crew wants to keep fighting in court and will try appealing his sentence and charges from the conspiracy case.
