Gibson Issues Cease-and-Desist to Trump-Endorsed Guitar Company

Gibson, the famous guitar maker, has told another company to stop making guitars that they think look too much like theirs.

Recently, Trump posted a picture of himself with an American Eagle Electric Guitar on Truth Social. This guitar had his “Make America Great Again” slogan on it and was priced at $1,500; if you wanted it signed by him, it cost $11,500. Even though the electric guitars are sold out now, people can still buy acoustic ones on their site. But Guitar World noticed that these electrics look a lot like Gibson’s Les Paul model. The Associated Press mentioned that no one really knows how Trump is connected to this guitar company other than saying he likes them.

Fans might wonder why so many musicians don’t want Trump using their songs.
