CBGB Festival is coming to Brooklyn’s Under the K Bridge Park on September 21, and it’s got a wild lineup.
This new event, not connected to the old CBGB Music and Film Festival, is bringing in Iggy Pop, Sex Pistols, and Jack White as the main acts, while Johnny Marr from the Smiths, Soul Glo, YHWH Nailgun, the Linda Lindas, Lip Critic, and Lambrini Girls are also hitting the stage. The poster for the festival is out now, if you want to see who else might show up. The announcement says, “The lineup connects punk’s originators with its fiercest future voices, all answering one core question: Who would be playing at CBGB today?”
Sometimes people wonder what old venues would sound like if they were still around, and this festival is sort of trying to answer that.
Fans think it would be amazing to see all these musicians play together.
