Kamasi Washington has dropped a short film for his new track “Get Lit” from the album Fearless Movement.
The 13-minute video, directed by Jenn Nkiru, features George Clinton, D Smoke, Saul Williams, Willow, Robert Glasper, Raphael Saadiq, and Patrice Quinn. It’s been six years since Kamasi’s last album in 2018 titled Heaven and Earth. After that release, he shared an EP called The Choice and composed the soundtrack for Michelle Obama’s documentary Becoming. He also worked on several projects with Robert Glasper and Terrace Martin as part of their group Dinner Party.
I think Kamasi’s music is really inspiring.
