On June 6, Fire Talk will release a bigger version of Kassie Krut’s debut EP, Kassie Krut.
This new edition isn’t just the same old tracks; five songs are getting a total remix makeover from different artists like JLB from Kero Kero Bonito, Coido, DJ Travella, and Container, which is pretty wild when you think about it. The band already dropped Panda Bear’s remix of “Hoot Beat,” and you can listen to it down below if you’re curious.
It’s kind of cool that Panda Bear and Kassie Krut teamed up for that remix, since they’re going on a quick tour together in May with Toro y Moi tagging along too. After that, Kassie Krut is doing their own shows in cities like Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, and Montreal, while Panda Bear takes off in another direction to play songs from his new album, Sinister Grift, in places like San Francisco, Seattle, and Vancouver.
Fans always get excited when bands try something different with their music.
Before all this, Eve Alpert and Kasra Kurt were in Palm, a math-rock group from Philadelphia, but after that band broke up in 2023, they took a break and then started Kassie Krut with Matt Anderegg, who worked with them on Nicks and Grazes. Their first EP came out last December, and they even put out “Reckless” and “Racing Man” as singles before that.
