Kendrick Lamar dropped a new music video for his hit diss track “Not Like Us” on Independence Day.
The video, directed by Kendrick and his pgLang buddy Dave Free, kicks off with Kendrick rapping some fresh lyrics mentioning “Keep a horn on me, that Kamasi.” As the video rolls on, we see familiar faces like Tommy the Clown, DeMar DeRozan from Compton, producer Mustard in a Toronto Blue Jays hat, and Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith.
In the video, Kendrick takes more shots at Drake by smashing an owl piñata and staring at a caged owl. He also dances with Whitney Alford and two kids. (Drake had thrown shade at Kendrick’s family life in songs like “Family Matters.”)
I think it’s cool when artists get personal in their work.
This new clip comes after Kendrick’s Pop Out concert on Juneteenth in Inglewood.
