The Latin Recording Academy just dropped the list of everyone up for Latin Grammy Awards in 2025.
Bad Bunny is way ahead of everyone, grabbing 12 nominations thanks to his album Debí Tirar Más Fotos that came out in January. He’s in the running for Album of the Year, and, funnily enough, he’s up against himself in both Record of the Year and Song of the Year, since both “Baile Inolvidable” and “DTMF” are nominated in those categories. There’s also a new category called Best Roots Song, and Bad Bunny’s “Lo Que Le Pasó a Hawaii” is up for that one, too, facing off against Natalia Lafourcade plus some others.
Every single year since 2017, Bad Bunny’s been nominated at the Latin Grammys. He first won back in 2019 for Best Urban Music Album with X 100Pre. Now he’s racked up 12 wins and a massive 52 nominations in total. That’s a lot of trophies.
Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso and Edgar Barrera are also sitting pretty with double-digit nominations. The duo from Argentina, Catriel Guerreiro and Ulises Guerriero, got recognized for their album Papota, especially for songs like “El Día del Amigo” and “#Tetas.” Meanwhile, Edgar Barrera is mostly the mastermind behind the scenes, helping out on Karol G’s “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” Maluma’s “Cosas Pendientes,” and plenty more. He’s even up for Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year.
Fans think it’s wild how many times Bad Bunny gets nominated—like, does he ever sleep?
Lots of other stars made the cut, too: Milton Nascimento, Shakira, Rauw Alejandro, Gloria Estefan, Carín León, Mon Laferte, Silvana Estrada, Ela Minus, Rubén Blades, Nicki Nicole, Christian Nodal, Rusowsky, Gustavo Dudamel, Grupo Frontera, and Tokischa are all on the list. Manuel Abud, who runs the Latin Recording Academy, said, “We’re pleased to present this year’s nominees for the 26th Annual Latin Grammys. The impact of Latin music continues to grow on a global level, and all of the nominated artists encompass its diversity and richness while continuing to preserve the iconic sounds that make our music unique.”
Last time around, Edgar Barrera scored the most nominations at the 2024 Latin Grammys—nine, to be exact—and ended up taking home three awards. Karol G, who’s set to headline Coachella in 2026, got eight nominations and won Best Urban Music Album for Mañana Será Bonito (Bichota Season). She also won that same award at the 2024 Grammy Awards, so she’s on a roll.
