Latto and Ice Spice just dropped a new track called “Gyatt,” and the music video, directed by Hidji World, is out now.
The video is set up like a wrestling match and features some fun appearances from Deshae Frost, Tylil James, and JaNa Craig from Love Island. The energy is wild, and the costumes are even wilder.
The song “Gyatt” was made with the help of producers like Go Grizzly, Pooh Beatz, RiotUSA, and Supakaine. For Latto, this is her first single since she put out “Somebody” in May, and for Ice Spice, it’s her first since she worked on “Gnarly (Ice Spice Remix)” with Katseye.
Fans always get excited when two artists who might not have been cool with each other finally work together.
People have been talking online about how there might have been some drama between these two, especially after Ice Spice’s “Think U the Shit (Fart)” made everyone think she was dissing Latto. Then Latto posted on X, “Think I’m the shit , bitch ?????” and that just made rumors fly even more.
But Ice Spice talked about it in a Rolling Stone interview and said, “I feel like if we ever spoke and I asked her ‘What’s the issue?’ it’d be like a blank stare. It’d really be no issue whatsoever. Especially from me.” She also said, “I can understand a friendly competition, but I just feel like at this point it’s a joke that she’s just dragged out, and it’s just not even funny. Like, bro, ‘Think U the Shit’ is from January. You’re going to post a piece of shit cake to announce something that’s good news for you? But it is kind of a compliment because you’re taking something that’s supposed to be a fun moment for you and you’re making it about me… again.”
Honestly, we sometimes wish artists would just drop music and ignore the drama.
