Alan Sparhawk has dropped another track from his upcoming solo album White Roses, My God.
The song “Get Still” features a video by Ingrid Weise, showing Sparhawk dancing in a field. The album will be out on September 27 under Sub Pop. Previously mentioned in a New Yorker article, White Roses, My God is the follow-up to his 2006 release Solo Guitar. Last month, he released an electronic track titled “Can U Hear.” This new record marks Sparhawk’s first major project since Mimi Parker’s passing in 2022. The album was co-produced and engineered by Nat Harvie and Sparhawk himself, with Heba Kadry mastering it.
Sparhawk plans to tour the UK and Ireland in November to promote the LP. After that, he’ll join Godspeed You! Black Emperor for some U.S. shows before starting his own headline tour in January.
I think fans are really excited about this new chapter for him.
Sparhawk’s journey through grief and creativity is truly inspiring.
