Mac DeMarco Announces New Album Guitar & Releases Home Music Video

Mac DeMarco is setting off on a wild tour, zigzagging from Los Angeles all the way to Tokyo and back again.

First, he’s playing a bunch of shows at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles at the end of August, then he’ll pop over to the East Coast, stopping in places like Philly, Baltimore, and New York’s Radio City Music Hall. After that, he’ll swing through Boston, and then it’s back to California for Berkeley and Petaluma before heading up north to Oregon, Seattle, and Vancouver. There’s even a show at the Olympia Film Society, which sounds pretty cool.

If you’re in Europe this fall, you might catch him in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Paris, Prague, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Berlin, or Cologne. He’s also heading to Brussels, and a bunch of cities in England and Ireland, like Birmingham, Brighton, London, Cambridge, Bristol, Manchester, and Dublin. In December, he’ll be in Canada, playing in Halifax, Moncton, Quebec City, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, and Victoria.

Fans really hope he plays “Chamber of Reflection” at every stop.

Then, after the holidays, Mac is off to Japan for shows in Fukuoka, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, and Tokyo, and even a gig in Hong Kong. After that, he’ll hit the road again in the U.S., with concerts in Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver, La Vista, Minneapolis, Chicago, Royal Oak, Cleveland, Asheville, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Santa Fe, Tucson, and finally San Diego. That’s a lot of traveling!

Some nights, he’ll be joined by Vicky Farewell, Daryl Johns, Mock Media, or Tex Crick, depending on the city. The symbols next to each date show who’s playing with him, but honestly, it’s a bit like a secret code.

Sometimes, we just wish we could teleport to every show.

If you want the full list, it’s a mix of theaters, concert halls, and even a place called Kitty Woo Stadium, which sounds like a made-up name, but it’s real.
