Mac DeMarco Performs Shining on Colbert

Last night on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Mac DeMarco performed “Shining” from his latest album Guitar in front of a big TV showing calm horses running.

While his band played behind him, Mac gently moved with the music, and the horses on the screen made everything feel peaceful and kind of dreamy. “Home,” “Holy,” and “Phantom” are some other songs from Guitar that came out before the album dropped. Back in 2017, Mac was on Colbert too, jamming with Jon Batiste and singing “One Another” from This Old Dog.

Fans sometimes just want to see Mac DeMarco wear a silly hat on stage.

Now he’s off traveling the world again—his tour is going everywhere: North America, South America, Asia, and Europe, and it won’t stop until May 2026. If you blink, you might miss him in your city!

Oh, and if you’re curious, people are still talking about his 2023 albums, One Wayne G and Five Easy Hot Dogs, and what they thought about them. Sometimes reviews are super long, but honestly, the album names are the best part.
