Mac DeMarco just dropped a fresh track called “Holy” from his new album Guitar, and in the video he’s munching on an apple.
The album Guitar is all Mac—he wrote, recorded, mixed, and produced everything himself, and it’s coming out August 22 on his own label. Last month, he let everyone hear the first single, “Home.”
After the album arrives, Mac plans to hit the road for a huge tour, starting in Los Angeles on August 29, and he’s not stopping until May 2026. He’s going everywhere: the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, and even Japan, so fans all over will get to see him perform these new songs live.
Fans think it’s pretty cool when artists do everything themselves.
“Holy,” the new song, comes with a video that’s kind of simple but fun, just Mac and his apple. Sometimes, I wonder if apples taste better when you’re making music, but that’s probably just me being silly.
