Maxo just revealed he’s got a brand-new album coming out soon.
Instead of working with a big label, Maxo is dropping Mars Is Electric through his own Smileforme label this time, following his previous independent project, which was a big step after those Def Jam days. The single “Human ?” kicks things off, and it’s got Jacob Rochester and Lastnamedavid behind the production, while Vincent Haycock jumped in to direct the music video—Maxo’s rapping on top of a car windshield in that one, which is pretty wild to see.
Here’s something people might find cool: the song list for Mars Is Electric isn’t just random, it’s got tracks like “All of Everything,” “Donahoo’s Chicken,” and even one called “Ludacris.”
Fans always get excited when Maxo does something different, and this album seems like it’s going to feel really personal.
It’s funny how sometimes album names sound like science fiction movies, but then you see a song title about chicken and realize music can be about anything at all.
