Militarie Gun just revealed they’re dropping a second album called God Save the Gun on October 17 through Loma Vista.
The first song, “B A D I D E A,” is already out, and there’s a wild new video for it—directed by Ian Shelton, who’s the leader of the band. He said, “I wanted to make a video that was a celebration of vices, a new iteration of yourself looking back at a moment you made a mistake while never truly reflecting.” He also mentioned, “This was the most technically challenging video we’ve ever done and it only fits a song spelling out the words ‘bad idea.’”
After their first album Life Under the Gun came out last year, the group—Shelton, William Acuña, Kevin Kiley, Waylon Trim, and David Stalsworth—are already gearing up to hit the road again with these new tracks.
Fans sometimes just want to hear the new stuff live as soon as possible.

Tour dates are coming up fast, with shows all over California, Chicago, and even up in Washington and Idaho. Some gigs will have Gorilla Biscuits, Alkaline Trio, Death Lens, Milly, Fleshwater, Angel Du$t, Sex Pistols, and The Molotovs joining in. That’s a pretty wild lineup!
