Mount Eerie Announces New Album Night Palace & New Songs

Phil Elverum has revealed his first new Mount Eerie album in six years, titled Night Palace, which will be released on November 1 through his label P.W. Elverum & Sun.

The singles “I Walk” and “Broom of Wind” are leading the way for this album, with the latter accompanied by a music video. You can listen to these fresh tracks below.

Fans have already gotten a taste of Night Palace, as “Huge Fire” was previously shared on Tokyo’s 7e.p. Records’ compilation album Colors. This compilation also featured artists like Lou Barlow and Jason Lytle. Additionally, Phil contributed a demo version of “& Sun (Early)” to support a Palestine benefit album.

We sometimes wonder how artists keep their creativity alive after so many years.

This November, Mount Eerie is set to perform in Brooklyn and Los Angeles to promote the new album. Below is the list of upcoming tour dates for those interested in catching him live.

The last full-length record from Mount Eerie was Lost Wisdom, Pt. 2, made with Julie Doiron in 2019. During the early days of COVID-19, Phil brought back the Microphones project for an album called Microphones in 2020.
