Neil Young is finally releasing Early Daze, an album featuring early recordings with Crazy Horse, after talking about it in his book Waging Heavy Peace over ten years ago.
This new record will showcase the first versions of six songs: “Come On Baby Let’s Go Downtown,” “Winterlong,” “Wonderin’,” “Look at All the Things,” “Helpless,” and “Down by the River.” You can also listen to “Everybody’s Alone” below; it’s a different mix from what was included in Neil Young Archives, Vol. 1 (1963-1972). The album drops on June 28.

I think it’s cool when artists share their old, unreleased stuff with fans.
The tracklist is pretty exciting—especially for long-time fans who have been waiting for these gems. Sometimes I wonder how many more hidden treasures are out there in musicians’ vaults.
