Nick Cave Documentary Premieres Soon on Sky

Nick Cave is getting his own documentary on Sky Documentaries, and it’s coming out sometime this year.

Alongside this, there’s also a TV series based on The Death of Bunny Munro—with Matt Smith starring—which is almost ready to drop, but neither project has a set release date yet. At the end of this month, though, London will get a sneak peek at two episodes from the show, which sounds pretty cool if you ask me.

The Veiled World of Nick Cave is packed with appearances from Florence Welch, Colin Greenwood, Wim Wenders, Warren Ellis, Bella Freud, and Irvine Welsh, who’ll be sharing stories about Nick and what he means to them. People might get a few surprises from their memories, or maybe even a laugh or two.

Fans think it’s awesome when artists let us see behind the scenes of their lives.

Phil Edgar-Jones from Sky said, “Nick Cave is one of those incomparable artists whose power of storytelling knows no bounds. His vivid landscapes are brought to life through his lyrics, his books, his music and his ceramics. We’re delighted to be lifting the lid on his brilliantly multi-layered world in this special.”

Sometimes, when I hear about documentaries, I wish popcorn was free at the movies, but anyway—let’s hope the air dates get announced soon, because waiting is the hardest part.
