Bob Dylan recently surprised everyone with a post on X, praising Nick Cave’s Paris concert with the Bad Seeds.
Cave found it amusing that Dylan used X, especially when many people were leaving for Bluesky because of Elon Musk. He said, “The world had grown thoroughly disenchanted,” and mentioned how politics made it hard to feel anything special or joyful. Touring with The Bad Seeds felt like a way to lift people’s spirits and take them away from all the political chaos.
Fans sometimes wonder if music can really make us forget our worries, even just for a little while.
Feeling happy about Dylan’s words, Cave wrote in his newsletter about how much they meant to him. He said he was proud of bringing joy through his shows and was thrilled that Dylan noticed. “Thank you, Bob!”
