Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds are heading out on a big trip with concerts in loads of different places.
They’ll start off in Fremantle Park, over in Perth, then hop around to Adelaide, then spend a couple of nights in Sydney at The Domain, before moving on to Brisbane for a show at Victoria Park. After that, they’ll make their way to Melbourne and play three nights in a row at Alexandra Gardens, which sounds pretty wild if you ask me. Next stop: Wellington, New Zealand, where they’ll be at TBS Arena for two nights. The group won’t stop there—after a little break, they’re off to Europe, kicking things off in Dublin at Malahide Castle, then heading to Germany for a show at Emslandarena in Lingen.
If you look at their schedule, it’s like a whirlwind—Denmark’s Heartland Festival, Metronome Festival in Prague, then Austria’s Burg Clam, and soon after, Athens for the Release Athens Festival. They’ll also hit places like La Prima Estate in Italy and Live Is Live in Antwerp, then Berlin’s Waldbühne, and the Jazz Open in Stuttgart. The summer keeps rolling with NOS Alive Festival in Lisbon, then a bunch of shows in France, including Festival de Nîmes and Théâtre Antique de Vienne, and even Les Vieilles Charrues in Carhaix. Sometimes, I wish I could just travel around and see concerts like that.
There are more stops: Brighton’s Preston Park, Dresden’s Filmnächte am Elbufer, two nights at Arena Pula in Croatia, and a show at Lower Town Kalemegdan Fortress in Belgrade. Then, it’s Summer Well Festival in Buftea, Øyafestivalen in Oslo, and Kalnai Park in Vilnius.
Fans are probably already planning which shows to go to.
The tour keeps going with Cabaret Vert in Charleville-Mézières, then Munich’s Königsplatz, Bonn’s Kunst!Rasen, and finally, Rock en Seine in Paris. Some cities get several nights, while others just get one, but every place will probably be packed and loud. If you blink, you might miss them—unless you’re in Melbourne, then you get three chances, which is kind of funny.
It’s a long list of places, and who knows, maybe they’ll even add more dates or take a wrong turn and end up somewhere totally unexpected.
