Nick León Announces New Album & Releases Song with Ela Minus

Nick León just shared he’s dropping a new album called A Tropical Entropy on June 27, and it’s coming out on TraTraTrax.

This record is packed with features—Erika de Casier shows up on the catchy track “Bikini,” and you’ll also hear Mediopicky, Casey MQ, and a bunch more artists joining in, plus there’s a fresh tune with Ela Minus called “Ghost Orchid.” The inspiration behind A Tropical Entropy comes from Joan Didion’s 1987 book Miami, and also from those weird feelings you get when you’re super tired or your mind is somewhere else, not just from chemicals but from lack of sleep too.

Here’s the full tracklist for A Tropical Entropy:
01 Nick León: “Entropy” [ft. Xander Amahd]
02 Nick León / Ela Minus: “Ghost Orchid”
03 Nick León: “Metromover” [ft. Jonny From Space]
04 Nick León / Esty / Mediopicky: “Millennium Freak”
05 Nick León: “Hexxxus”
06 Nick León: “Crush”
07 Nick León: “R.I.P. Current”
08 Nick León: “Product of Attraction” [ft. Lavurn]
09 Nick León: “Ocean Apart” [ft. Casey MQ]
10 Nick León: “Broward Boyy”
11 Nick León / Erika de Casier: “Bikini”

People think “Bikini” is super cool—it even landed at No. 12 on a big list of the best songs this year.

Fans really hope the album sounds as wild as the cover art looks.

Sometimes, when I read about albums inspired by books and late nights, I wonder if music and stories are more alike than we think.

There’s a song for every mood on here, and it feels like Nick León is mixing all kinds of vibes, so maybe you’ll find something you totally didn’t expect.
