Ol’ Dirty Bastard Documentary Airs in August

Get ready for an official Ol’ Dirty Bastard documentary on A&E, airing August 25 at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific.

This two-hour special, directed by Sam and Jason Pollard, features interviews with his parents, bandmates like Raekwon and Ghostface Killah, wife Icelene Jones, son Bar-Sun Jones, and even Mariah Carey. Icelene expressed her joy about the film: “I am so happy to have brought this documentary about my husband’s life to the screen.… Like all of hip-hop, I have missed his energy. This project has let me know that he is alive and well in all of our hearts.”

Produced by Pulse Films, Four Screens, and the Ol’ Dirty Bastard Estate with GroupM Motion Entertainment’s help, this documentary was first announced in 2022.

I think documentaries can really bring someone’s story to life.

Can’t wait? The documentary will be available on demand the day after it airs!
