Pixies just dropped a new tune called “You’re So Impatient” and covered the classic “Que Sera, Sera.”
Their lead singer, Black Francis, mentioned that “You’re So Impatient” is like a funny scene from suburban life: there’s a guy, a girl, and some love drama happening in a mall. He said malls are tacky but also feel like places from zombie rock horror movies.
Back in March, Pixies shared that Emma Richardson joined them after Paz Lenchantin left. Emma used to be with Band of Skulls for over ten years and paints too. She’s been touring with Pixies recently.
Paz started touring with Pixies in 2014 after Kim Deal and Kim Shattuck left. She worked on Indie Cindy, then officially became part of the band in 2016. Paz contributed to Head Carrier, Beneath the Eyrie, and Doggerel.
I think it’s cool how musicians switch bands sometimes.
