Rakim is back with a new album after nearly 15 years, titled G.O.D.’s Network (Reb7rth), set to release on July 26.
The album’s first single, “Be Ill,” features Kurupt and Masta Killa. You can watch the music video below (via Rolling Stone). Rakim, famous for his work with Eric B., took charge of production himself for this project. The album showcases collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Method Man, Kool G Rap, 38 Spesh, Joell Ortiz, B.G., and more. Interestingly, it also includes contributions from late artists like Nipsey Hussle, DMX, Fred the Godson, and Prodigy from Mobb Deep.
I think it’s amazing how Rakim still stays relevant after all these years.
