Rauw Alejandro just revealed that his new album Cosa Nuestra will be released on November 15.
The artist also dropped a fresh track called “Pasaporte” with Mr. NaisGai, and you can check out its video below.
Alejandro teamed up with Mr. NaisGai and SG Lewis to produce “Pasaporte.” This song comes after his recent hits “Déjame Entrar” and “Touching the Sky,” which he performed at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
In an interview with Billboard, Alejandro explained that the title of his new album was inspired by Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe’s salsa classic from 1969, also named Cosa Nuestra. He said, “Salsa is not my essence, but it’s something that’s in my blood and in my culture, and it’s something I love. I come from urban music, but I can do other genres. The Colón-Lavoe Cosa Nuestra had the elegance and the musicality and the instruments, which you will hear on this album. It’s the first time I use my band and live music on almost an entire project. I usually write with my keyboard and my computer, but on this project I’m going to the roots.”
This upcoming release marks Rauw Alejandro’s fifth studio album; he put out his fourth one, Playa Saturno, back in July 2023.
Fans can’t wait for this new album!
