“Brown Sugar” just dropped, and it’s the first time Redveil and Smino have teamed up.
This new track comes with a music video, which Tyler Shuler directed, and it’s already got people talking. Redveil handled the production, but he didn’t do it all alone—Johnny May added some smooth keyboards, plus strings and synths, while Faith Carey took the lead with the choir vocals, Keelan Walters played guitar, and Allayna O’Quinn gave some extra vocals for good measure.
After “Square One” came out in April, Redveil’s been busy, and before that, he put out his album Learn 2 Swim in 2022, then followed it up with an EP called Playing W/ Fire.
Fans always hope for more collabs like this because it’s fun to see artists mix their styles.
There’s a feature from last year called “Teenage Rap Phenom Redveil Is Growing Up on Record,” which is worth checking out if you missed it.
