Sasami Announces Album, Shares New Song Slugger Video

In March 2025, Sasami is releasing her first album since 2022’s Squeeze.

The new record, titled Blood on the Silver Screen, drops on March 7 via Domino and features a song called “Slugger.” Check out its baseball-themed music video directed by Crystalline Structures Studio below.

Teaming up with co-producers Jenn Decilveo and Rostam, Sasami crafted this album which also includes Clairo’s guest appearance on the track “In Love With a Memory.”

“This album is all about learning and respecting the craft of pop songwriting, about relenting to illogical passion, obsession, and guiltless pleasure,” Sasami shared in a press release. “It’s about leaning into the chaos of romance and sweeping devotion—romanticism to the point of self-destruction.”

Fans often find themselves lost in such intense emotions.

Back in May, she gave us a taste of her new work with the single “Honeycrash.” At that time, she mentioned wanting to create something as dramatic as a 19th-century opera but with modern-day therapy insights from 2024.
