Austin City Limits Music Festival just dropped its 2025 lineup, and it’s wild.
If you’re heading to Austin in October, get ready for two weekends at Zilker Park with Sabrina Carpenter, Hozier, Doja Cat, the Strokes, Luke Combs, John Summit, and Doechii all taking over the main stage. The list doesn’t stop there—scrolling further, you’ll spot names like Rilo Kiley (yes, really), Marren Morris, Mk.gee, Modest Mouse, Wet Leg, Japanese Breakfast, Car Seat Headrest, Magdalena Bay, and even Panda Bear, plus a bunch of others you might want to check out on Spotify before you go. There’s a poster floating around somewhere, but honestly, it’s almost too packed to read.
Last year, the festival brought out Chris Stapleton, Blink-182, Dua Lipa, and Tyler, the Creator, so the bar is high for this year’s crowd. Hozier seems to be everywhere this summer—he’s got sets lined up at Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Outside Lands too. Meanwhile, Doja Cat is also popping up at Outside Lands, and Sabrina Carpenter is making a big appearance at Lollapalooza 2025. Oh, and Rilo Kiley’s set is a big deal because it’s one of their first shows together since 2008.
Fans probably wish they could teleport to every festival at once.
The Strokes are also featured in “The 200 Most Important Artists of Pitchfork’s First 25 Years,” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” landed at number 7 in “The 100 Best Songs of 2024.” Sometimes these lists make me wonder who actually votes for them, but whatever.
I almost forgot, but if you’re allergic to crowds, maybe just watch the highlights online.
