Taylor Swift’s Look What You Made Me Do Taylor’s Version Featured on The Handmaid’s Tale

Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)” showed up in Season 6, Episode 9 of The Handmaid’s Tale, but you can’t find it anywhere to stream yet.

Last year, there was a little teaser of this song in Wilderness, but now the full version played on TV, and people are still waiting for it to hit Spotify or Apple Music. Swift hasn’t dropped the full Reputation (Taylor’s Version) album either, so fans are left guessing when it’s coming. If you want to hear more, there’s a longer bit floating around on X.

Elisabeth Moss said, “I’ve been wanting to use a Taylor song for many years on the show and we finally found the perfect spot for a track from her, and I’m so glad we waited because there could not be a more perfect song for a more perfect moment.” She also shared, “Taylor has been such an inspiration to me personally. As a Swiftie myself, and I think I can speak for [co-star] Yvonne [Strahovski] and our entire cast as well, who are all Swifties, it’s such an honor to be able to use her music in the final episodes of our show.”

Back in 2017, Reputation gave us hits like “Look What You Made Me Do” and “…Ready for It?,” and it was her last album with Big Machine Records before all the drama happened. Even though it was a massive success, it only got one Grammy nod for Best Pop Vocal Album, but Ariana Grande’s Sweetener ended up winning. Swift worked with Jack Antonoff on one part of the album, but most of the tracks were made with Max Martin and Shellback, and she brought in Future and Ed Sheeran for “End Game.”

Fans always hope she’ll announce the new Reputation soon.

Swift started re-recording her old music in 2019 after Scooter Braun bought her masters, and so far, she’s put out Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021, then Speak Now and 1989 in 2023. Scooter Braun even told NPR in 2022 that he had “regrets” about how everything went down.

While all this was happening, Taylor didn’t stop making new songs either. She released her tenth album, Midnights, in October 2022, and then The Tortured Poets Department came out in April 2024. Her Eras Tour just finished, and it broke all kinds of records and took her all over the world.

Sometimes, we just want new Taylor music to drop already.
