At long last, the first teaser for A Complete Unknown, the new Bob Dylan film, has dropped.
In this clip, Timothée Chalamet stars as Dylan and impressively sings “A Hard Rain’s a-Gonna Fall” from the 1960s. Alongside him, Monica Barbaro portrays Joan Baez and Edward Norton takes on the role of Pete Seeger. You can watch the teaser below.
Directed by James Mangold, A Complete Unknown will be in theaters this December. The movie dives into Dylan’s early days in New York City, his rise to fame, and his iconic 1965 performance at Newport Folk Festival when he famously “went electric.”
I think it’s really cool that Timothée does his own singing in the film.
Dylan’s journey through those years is fascinating because it shows how one artist can change music history.
