Toronto’s own death metal trio, Tomb Mold, is teaming up with Philadelphia’s quartet, Horrendous, for what promises to be an unforgettable North American tour this summer. They’ve aptly named it the Enraptured by Fate’s Tangled Thread Tour. It kicks off with fireworks on July 4th in Toronto, Ontario. Then, like a relentless storm, it sweeps through North America, finally crashing down in Brooklyn on July 27th. Along the way, they’ll be making some noise at Sled Island and Austin Death Fest, among other stops.
“Ever since an all-too-brief weekend stint of live shows in 2018 with the masterminds behind Tomb Mold, we’ve dreamed of uniting forces for something greater,” Horrendous spilled the beans in a statement. And guess what? “Six years later, the time has finally arrived!” Talk about building anticipation.
Both bands are riding high off their latest albums, which have been making waves. Ontological Mysterium, Horrendous’ fifth full-length beast, was unleashed last August. Not to be outdone, Tomb Mold dropped The Enduring Spirit, their ambitious fourth LP, the following month. It’s like they’ve been gearing up for this tour with every shred of their being.
Tomb Mold’s tour itinerary reads like a metalhead’s dream road trip. Starting with Austin, TX at the Austin Death Fest on April 27th, they’ll tear through cities like a whirlwind. Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Cambridge, and Philadelphia, just to name a few, will witness the fury. And yes, Horrendous will be joining them for a good chunk of this metal mayhem, making each stop even more epic.
