Two Shell just dropped a fresh album called IIcons, and they say it’s the close of a big part of their story.
This new project bundles up a bunch of tracks no one’s heard before, including “Doom Culture” with Dorian Electra singing and “As the World Bleeds” with Daigos from Tokyo jumping in. If you want to hear IIcons, you can find it below.
After playing at Glastonbury not long ago, Two Shell opened up online about how that show went and what it meant to them. They wrote, “anonymity sometimes feels like a mistake. when people message us saying ‘we know it wasn’t you up there! classic!!’ it feels sad. the intention was never to troll. it was to question what we are, and whether it matters.”
Fans think it’s cool when artists are honest about their feelings.
Sometimes, the world feels like a storm, and their recent music is a way to show how tough life can get. They said, “the world is a hard place. there are so many horrible things going on, and from our perspectives, our recent music is an expression towards that. a lot of it has been difficult to play. though through making the darker music we are lucky to have realised that it is not what we are only here to make.”
Playing at Glastonbury was huge for them. For years, people kept asking about when they’d play IICON, and this year, with some luck and help, they finally got the chance—right before the break, at the perfect time.
They wanted everyone to know, “it was us, and we put our hearts and minds into it. over the next couple of weeks we hope to show it.” Sometimes, it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s not, but this time, it was really them.
the end of a chapter.

there are few places that are as important to us as glastonbury. it is an epicentre of connection, and really an honour that it is in the UK. Over the years many people have asked us when will we play IICON, and what feels like from unexpected circumstances and with the passion of some incredible people, we were invited to play this year… in a perfect slot and thankfully, just before the fallow.
