In December 2022, Pa Salieu was given a 33-month prison sentence for violent disorder and having a bottle as a weapon from an incident in 2018.
After serving around 21 months, Salieu is now out of prison. He shared on social media, “I been gone for a while but I still made it back to you .” The fight that led to his arrest happened outside Club M in Coventry after his friend Fidel “AP” Glasgow was fatally stabbed. During the altercation, Salieu used both a bottle and a tree branch to attack someone. Although he was one of eleven men arrested due to the fight, no one has faced charges for Glasgow’s murder. At the time of this event, Salieu was just 21 years old; by the time he went to jail, he was 25. Interestingly enough, he had already received a suspended sentence back in 2015 for carrying a knife.
Fans often wonder how their favorite artists manage through tough times.
Salieu’s music career took off with his debut album Send Them to Coventry in 2020 and continued with the Afrikan Rebel EP in 2021. He collaborated with many artists like FKA twigs and Aitch and even performed “Frontline” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. His talent got him nominated for the Rising Star Award at the BRITs in 2021.
