Vinyl Me Please Customers Uncertain as Company Enters Liquidation

Vinyl Me, Please just shared that they’re shutting down for good after months of people not getting their records, refunds, or even answers to their emails.

Now, a company called Vinyl Liquidators LLC is handling everything left behind, and anyone who’s still waiting on records or paid for a subscription needs to fill out a claim before October 1, 2025, if they want their money back—or at least some of it. After that, whatever cash is left from selling off Vinyl Me, Please’s stuff will get split up among the people who file.

Back when Vinyl Me, Please started in 2012, it was all about sending out special records to subscribers, and some people even paid over $650 a year for the fanciest membership, according to The Denver Post. But things started to fall apart after three top employees got fired in March 2024, with the board saying those folks tried to use company money to build a pressing plant. Cameron Schaefer, the old CEO, said he thought they were actually let go so the company wouldn’t have to pay them severance.

Fans just want things to be simple and honest.

After that, everything got messy—members saw prices go up, shipping took forever, and some people said they were still being charged for stuff even though the company was basically falling apart. Erik “DJ Hazbro” Dunham told The Denver Post, “Needless to say this club has been a huge part of my life and ultimately shaped not just my music taste but also the way I enjoy music. To see it ending this way, basically stealing the money of the very people who had supported it over the years, cloaked in silence with no acknowledgment of the inevitable end or what is happening with orders, is heartbreaking on top of being a disgusting abuse of trust.”

Oddly enough, even though they were already shutting down, Vinyl Me, Please sent out an email last month saying things would be back to normal soon, but people were still supposed to get instructions about how to file a claim.
